It’s no big secret that photos are edited to within an inch of their pixels. Sometimes it’s done with innocent intentions of making a product look good for a brand, other times it’s to make us feel better about ourselves and in other cases it’s used to convince the public of a false reality.
I love autumn, it’s possibly my favourite time of the year. English summers are usually spent in a constant state of staring despairingly out of a window at the grey sky thinking to yourself that you wouldn’t have to deal with wearing jumpers in June if you were in the Caribbean. Winter is cold and dark and spring is spent preparing for what you hope will be a hot summer.
For World Photography Day I wanted to share the crazy things photographers do to get the perfect shot, including some bizarre pictures of my own with their back stories and some fitting examples found online.
